Jedi Tedi's Red Carpet Event

On Sunday the 6th May, Jedi Tedi hosted our first Red Carpet Event at the V&A Waterfront where we booked out the whole movie cinema and watched “A Wrinkle In Time”. WOW! What an experience it was. Not only was the movie spectacular, we had all the young CRPS warriors in Cape Town together in the same place, celebrating their recovery and their beating of CRPS.

By doing these events we are really able to reinforce our mission of spreading CRPS awareness and raise funds for the terrific Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital.

Thanks to those of you who were there or donated to this cause, and for your continuous support.

Below is the speech that I delivered before the screening of the movie:

“Thank you for a

ttending our first Jedi Tedi Red Carpet Event.. There WILL be many more.

Thank you to our fabulous pain clinic at Red Cross Hospital whom we CONTINUE to honour because of the amazing work they do with absolute love, sincerity and passion and because they gave our children back to us whole and smiling.

Thank you to those who help sew the Jedi Tedis with love.

We did not realise we would go viral with these Tedis, but seem that we did we will use this platform and carry on our mission of creating awareness for this rare disease.

The Jedi Tedi foundation still has a lot to do as there are too many young children suffering from pain diseases, and being misdiagnosed or even not believed.

I think we are witnessing an African continent first with so many kids together in one place socially, celebrating their journey through our pain clinic. These kids have been so brave and have overcome more than most people have in their lives. We acknowledge their journeys.

Enjoy.”
